"Look at a day when you are supremely satisfied at the end. It's not a day when you lounge around doing nothing; it's when you've had everything to do, and you've done it.” Margaret Thatcher
What will you accomplish today that you will feel great about later? What tasks will you come to grips with? What new ventures will you begin? Whose lives will you positively influence today? Even if you aren't feeling motivated, give yourself a push to finish just one useful thing, and see how much better you will feel, and how much more motivated you will be to tackle other projects. Every journey begins with a single step. Take that step and see how easy the path becomes! And how much better and more a part of your world you will feel !

Make Change Your Ally
“Change is the essence of life.Be willing to surrender what you are for what you could become.”
How easy it is, when something is "not right", to wrap ourselves in a blanket of familiarity, assuring ourselves that "it will all work out", or that "I have done all I can - there's nothing more to do or try".
Life is always changing. Everything around us changes every day - situations, people's perspectives, your own ideas and feelings. With all this constant change around you, you can't stay exactly who you are anyway. You can change, or you can be changed - and it is always better to be in the driver's seat and change according to your own choices, not someone else's.
If your present life situation is not exactly what you'd hoped for, what can you do to make it better? Are there
opportunities that you aren't taking, that could lead you to something "more"? Are there people or resources that can help bring you closer to what you really want? If you were witness to a friend or loved one who lived your life, what would you suggest they do to improve their world and discover greater fulfillment and joy?
I believe it was Gandhi who said, "Be the change you want to see in the world". Release the protective blanket (which rather than protecting you, is actually keeping you distanced from living your best life). Make a list of what your life is lacking, and item by item, start looking at how you can get what you really want. Everything is possible. Take control, Make your life and it's direction a greater priority - you deserve the best life you can create! Let go of who you are now, to make way for who you are about to be!

Do What You Love - And Love What You Do !
“I believe you should live each day as if it is your last, which is why I don't have any clean laundry, because, come on, who wants to wash clothes on the last day of their life?”
I came across this quote today, and it made me laugh. Don't we all have days when we know there are things that "should" be done, but we just don't feel like investing our time in them? If our lives are reasonably well organized, we can afford to shun waiting tasks once in a while. Of course, if we had that attitude every day, within a relatively short time our lives would be chaos, and we would no longer feel that wonderful sense of freedom we initially felt when we first chose to ignore our responsibilities. If we find ourselves regularly ignoring what must be done, it is time to assess our life situation, and come up with a plan to restructure and re-prioritize.
A life with little joy and great burdens is a life that needs tweaking - and even the most "impossible" situation can be improved!
Some people like to tackle one or two disagreeable tasks each day - others prefer to do them all at once, giving themselves the rest of the week to enjoy doing the things they love. Look at the responsibilties you have, and first decide whether or not they really are your responsibility. Are there complications in your world that you can release without the ceiling falling in? If so, let them go. If not, how can you complete those tasks, and not lose your zest for living - your joy? Come up with small ways to reward yourself when the job is done, and congratulate yourself on not procrastinating where others might.
The key to joyful living is to do more of what you love - (how can you make time and room in your life for this? Look at how you spend your waking hours, and see if you can find more "space" for the things you love!) - and to find ways to better enjoy the things you have to do. A minor shift in time management, and in your attitude toward your present responsibilities, will give you a brighter outlook on your life - and more time to devote to the things in your life that enhance you!

“Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow... already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.” ~ Steve Jobs
Each new day is a new opportunity to move closer to who you are meant to be. Listen to your own voice, write down what things you want to achieve, and make a “To Do” list for each of the next few days, attaching a realistic deadline date to each item. Don’t allow anything to prevent you from getting those items successfully checked off the list. Celebrate each step that brings your closer to fulfilling your goals, and use those steps to motivate the next ones! You are entirely capable of achieving whatever it is you want to do. Believe, walk the steps necessary, and keep looking forward !
